How freakin’ gorgeous is this firehouse in George Town, Penang? We cycled past earlier today, but as I tried to get a photo the lights turned green so we came back later.

Upon first entering Thailand from Cambodia the roads were very pleasant, plenty of space and very little traffic. However as we got closer to Bangkok, the traffic volume steadily increased.

Getting back into cycle touring was an adjustment that was easier for us to make than we expected We did worry that wed struggle to adjust to budget living but so far things are going well

If you’re in your twenties, you should pack a bike and ride as far as you can. Throw in the towel on your job and just do it.

The rain falls heavy in South East Asia and you can tell there’s a storm brewing from the temperate change.

A commendable decision was made by this team working at 7-Eleven/Caltex.

We rolled into La-ngu simply because it was on route. We were expecting just to eat and sleep, but at dinner we ended up having a wholesome time.

I personally would not return to Bangkok. We booked 4 nights and I wished it was 2. Other travellers love it so much they’ll stay for a fortnight. To each their own.

It was directly outside our hotel and we were starving. Although it was out of budget for us we both felt a good meal was needed.

I could not believe my eyes when we cycled through a seaside town to see these monkeys!

One morning we set off on our bike ride and rolled between these gorgeous salt farms. It turned out we were cycling through Samut Sakhon, a leading province in sea salt farming.

It’s so perfect to be on the coastline of Thailand. Ah, I keep breathing a deep sign of relief and just taking in what’s around me.

We cycled into a 7 Eleven for a glass of ice water. Upon arrival I saw two tourist bikes; memorable with their flag pole and the collection of flags from all the wonderful places.

As soon as we turned off the main road and met the coastal path everything changed for us. The view of the sea, the breeze cooling temps and quieter roads made everything infinitely better.

We when crossed the border we had really no expectations but we loved it so much.

Recently we stayed at a guesthouse in Cambodia. It was recommended by our friends. When we turned up we were so hot and ready to relax. The host was lovely. She showed us our room then invited us for a dinner
