We Had The Best Time At This Hot Pot Buffet

It was directly outside our hotel and we were starving. Although it was out of budget for us we both felt a good meal was needed.

The waitress could speak a little English which was so helpful because we didn’t know where to start.

She gives is three options:
— original
— something else
— Tom Yum

Having seen Tom Yum everywhere we were tempted.

I asked, “is Tom Yum spicy?”

“Not really”, she replies quickly. Then, she laughs.

We all laugh and we are all thinking the same thing. Probably it’s not spicy to her. 😆 Our white faces is all she needs to see to suggest maybe we go for “original” 😂

She shows us around and tells us that everything is included in the price 300 baht (£7/each). She kindly gives us warning of the most spicy condiments.

We load up plates full of vegetables and meats – from neck of something to thinly sliced meat strips. There was also cooked foods including stewed pork, rice, pork crackers, mackerel and so much more.

We enjoyed a long dinner, adding foods to our bubbling soup as we go. In the centre of the table is a ceramic hob with a large pot of soup and you just cook until your hearts content. The pot is split into two sections with a different soup in each.

They will bring you more soup if you need it.

The locals came in hoards with 8 people dining at a time. When the locals ate here they really went to town eating a mound of food. One table for two had so many ingredients I am amazed they could eat it all.

It felt really social actually. I thoroughly enjoyed it. For dessert there was a little buffet again including popcorn, many ice creams and fruits.
