Thailand’s Islands
We changed our route and followed the advice of followers who had visited Thailand before us.
Everyone said it: you have to go to the islands!
So, we did.
We wanted to get to Phuket in good time so we did the biggest days. We cycled more miles than we had on this part of our trip and it was so worth it.
From Patong we went to went to four islands and had a canoe trip near two, one including a cave and one national park where we saw monkeys. One of the islands was the “james bond island”, Khao Phing Kan, famous for its place in “The Man With the Golden Gun”. It was very busy with tourists, but we did really love the entire day.
At Phi Phi we tried snorkelling and saw tropical fish aswell as a shark! 🦈 Actually, I didn’t see a shark, somehow I missed it 🤦🏽♀️, but Stew saw.
We hopefully have some snorkelling videos coming sometime 🤞🏼🤞🏼
The Thai beaches are actually *stunning*. The ocean can be as blue as the sky and the sand is so soft it’s like walking on flour. The beaches on these tours are kept immaculately clean and Maya Beach even had tourists kicking their shoes off like you do to enter indoors.
It really was postcard-perfect.
