Today was a day of people! We cycled straight through Zoe's hometown, Ludlow and saw as many people as we could.
Cycling the length of Britain guarantees that you'll meet incredible people. In Cox Bank we stayed with an AirBnB hosts who was also an ultra Ironman triathlete!
Day eleven and we're back on the saddle! The sun was shining bright, which meant it was BOILING first thing, then terribly humid later. I was grumpy for the first thirty miles!
We took one rest day on our trip. We took it in Kendal where we enjoyed a pretty lazy day - we slept in, we swam then we went for dinner in Wetherspoons after.
This morning was exceptionally organised. We ate breakfast at 8am because we wanted an early start. The aim of the day was to get to a pub and watch the game!
Today we woke up in a Hindu Temple! We went for breakfast with the chef and gardener at who served us curry and rice with porridge and fruit.
It’s hard to believe we’ve sat on the bike for 6 days in a row! We're both feeling better than we thought we would. It feels like day 3, but now we've climbed over 20,000 feet!
Today we headed into the mountains along the A82. We climbed up to the top of Ranoch moor and it was amazing. We cycled between the mountains for around twenty miles.
Today was a fuelling-fail! If you're thinking about riding JOGLE - don't make the same mistakes that we did!
The road from Lairg to Inverness has quite a substantial climb, reaching 1000ft. It's worth it - the views are beautiful!
Today was a surprisingly easy and a stunning ride for about 55 Miles, but then we had quite a climb! Between Thurso and Lairg there's a great campsite.
Two more trains followed by a forty mile bike ride to the top of Scotland and back.
From Shropshire, it's a fourteen-hour train journey to the top of Scotland. We decided to do it over two days with a stop in Edinburgh.
We raised £1,500 for Shropshire Mind. Our employer kindly raised the majority of this sum through corporate sponsorship.
