JOGLE Day 3: Thurso To Lairg

JOGLE Day 3 – Thurso to Lairg

Today was a surprisingly easy and a stunning ride for about 55 Miles, but then we had quite a climb!

The views in the highlands are just perfect! We took plenty of breaks and really took it all in – we had toilet stops, water stops, peanut butter sandwich stops, and my favourite this-is-so-beautiful-we-have-to-stop stops.

We were so happy to finish at 4:30 today – plenty of time for relaxing! Our host even supplied us with a 2 course meal. There’s nothing to think about – no TV, no noisy neighbours just us in the “Tin Tent” and some stunning views.

A great 2 course meal cooked by our host, cuppa and chill!

AirBnb really paid off for us this time, at £22.96 The Tin Tent was a total bargain! It’s a small, family run campsite with clean facilities. I’m already thinking up my next excuse to return. I loved it! If you’re thinking about your own JOGLE you’re bound to pass it. We shared the campsite with 3 other cyclists who were in a static caravan and a cat who stood up on his back legs.

Your route varies – shame! The tin tent sounds glorious.
