JOGLE Day 8: Lesmahagow To Gretna Green
Lesmahagow to Gretna Green
So, today we woke up in a Hindu Temple! An unexpected Airbnb!
We went for breakfast with the chef and gardener at the Eco Farm. They served curry and rice with porridge and fruit. It was all pretty good, but what a combination – not something we’re used to.
After 20 Miles we stopped for a good binge on good ol’ peanut butter sandwiches before continuing our journey.
It was a beauty!!! We’re sure we rolled downhill way more than we climbed! The cycle path was actually very good – the only downside was that it ran alongside the M72 so it was a tad noisy. We arrived in Gretna Green at about 4:30 – plenty of time for a some good pub grub.
This was the only place where we didn’t use an Airbnb – along the way Airbnb was cheaper every time, except for this one. The Guest House was a different experience to Airbnb, we felt free-er and more on own, which was nice.
Chilling in front of the tv now and figuring out logistics …… can we manage to squeeze in the football game tomorrow!? We’re going to try!!! #itscominghome

Almost wish I was following your route so I could visit the Hindu Temple! Never mind. Our routes coincide at Gretna Green…
