They Know How To Get A Job Done In Asia
I mean it’s not safe, but I do envy how people in Eastern Europe and Asia (except China) – to my experience – can just get a job done.
Want to move these two bicycles? Sure, hold onto them and we’ll take the scooter.
Large, flat screen TV, sofas or wardrobes, stick ‘er on the back.
Parasol, just cling film it to my body and I’ll take it on a scooter.
Family of 5 on a scooter, with dog. No bother, let’s go.
Need access to something – anything – just ask and it’ll probably be sorted. Maybe for a small fee, maybe not.
We’ve seen all of the above and more on our adventures on the road.
When you get rid of the red tape, you can get shit done, but it’s not so safe.
More red tape = more safety. But, probably less efficiency and practicality comes into play.
I couldn’t tell you where the perfect balance is between allowing a society to just get stuff done and keeping a group of people safe and following process. I often think about it.
