The Albanian Shepherd

I absolutely love these shots!

This picture was taken yesterday, on my way up a climb I spotted this dear man tending to his sheep. I stopped to take a photograph. As I was doing so he waved and started to walk over.

He speaks in (I assume) Albanian.

“I am English” I shouted

“No problem.” He continues to walk towards me. He growls at his sheep then greets me with a handshake and a kiss on each cheek.

Shortly after we are joined by his dog.

We had a short moment trying to communicate but not much was said, after I ask to get the picture of his sheep, then he signals for me to take one of his dog.

It was a sweet exchange with a gentleman 😊
