Massive Storms In Southern Asia
The storms in southern Thailand and Malaysia can be incredible. Often you hear deep and loud rolls of thunder, some even wake us up at night.
We do stand and watch them from the hotel sometimes but haven’t caught a proper good lightening strike on camera yet ⚡️
Our first storm through the night was in Cambodia and it really roared; I even felt a bit scared listening to it!
I’m quite happy when the storms roll in though, especially when we’re riding. So far we move managed to narrowly escape each storm by a lucky coincidence like our tummies rumbling for lunch today.
We took shelter in a restaurant waiting for this one to pass although I don’t think we will get out without getting wet today. Doesn’t matter when you’re in very humid countries to be honest because we are always wet anyway.
The rains cool the temperatures unbelievably. We have twenty miles left of our bike ride today; we’ll do it rain or shine and likely the last twenty miles will at least be cool – maybe even cold.
