It Can’t Just Be Me Who Never Tires Of Seeing Monkeys?
Honestly, I love it when I see them in the parks or up in the trees.
Naturally, until I’d travelled I’d never seen a monkey that wasn’t on the television or caged somehow. Well, I did see monkeys at the safari park as a kid as they pulled at the wind screen wipers 😂
But, seeing them in the wild is something else. I make a special effort to look up in Malaysia because you never know when you will spot one or what else you might see; there’s the most beautiful blue-backed bird in Malaysia. I haven’t managed to catch him on camera yet tho! 📸
These images are all taken in Taiping park. We loved it there. You could hire a yellow bike or a tandem and ride around the park. I wanted to go on a tandem so bad but couldn’t convince Stew. Can’t think why 🤔🤔
In the park, we were surprised to see locals feeding the 🐒. Usually there are signs asking you not to, sometimes with a fine.
As much as I do like seeing the monkeys in the park, these guys are at risk of being real pests and potentially a danger.
It’s the same everywhere though. When we lived in Scotland deer would come into our village, we never fed them, but many did. I absolutely love deer, but I deffo prefer the deer to be up in the mountains, especially when it’s rutting season.
A wild animal, no matter how majestic, should probably be left to be just that – wild.
