Batu Caves, Kuala Lumpur,
A must-see according to our friends who live here.
We planned to go tomorrow but with some time for tourism today, we went.
We got to the train station in the nick of time, bought a ticket and run to catch the train that was departing in 3 minutes! A bit stressful at a station you don’t know.
By the time we made it the train was already moving meaning we’d need to wait one hour.
Well, guess what happened, instead of steaming past us, like it would in England, the train stopped right by us, the driver confirmed we were going to the caves and he let us on! Lucky, right?!
The caves are pretty cool and the stairs are nice to look at next to that *huge* statue. There are loads of monkeys around eating all the trash. It’s free to go but I think it would be better to have it paid so someone can keep on top of the mess.
There are other caves you can pay and visit but we just enjoyed the one.
Glad we went! It’s nice to enjoy the city by foot for a few days. We like KL and had a lovely meet with a friend from Insta — will share that tomorrow. ❤️
