Heading To Glasgow On The Train

We’re at the train station in Shrewsbury, tomorrow we will be in Glasgow about to embark on a 97 mile hike along the West Highland Way. ⁣

My pack is heavy, weighing 12kg. Stew’s is 15kg.⁣
⁣
We feel prepared, but we’re not really sure that we have the fitness for this. ⁣
⁣
The most I’ve hiked is 25 miles over two days and Stew hasn’t hiked for years since he started carrying his gear by bicycle in pursuit of longer travels. ⁣
⁣
I felt more confident that I’d cycle around the world than I do right now, starting a 97 mile hike in the face. And there’s an irony in that.⁣
