Heading For Cres, Croatia

Days like today are exactly why we’re doing what we’re doing.

Perfect!

We started off in Rijeka and cycled to Brestova and took the ferry to Porozina. We wanted to cycle the Croatian islands, as we’ve been told they are beautiful – and they are!

The ferry was 72kuna for 2 people and 2 bikes – roughly £8.50 which I thought was good! The ferry trip was about 4 miles and it took 20 minutes! I love boarding a ferry – even for 4 miles! 🤣

We had to climb a bit, but it was really steady and nice! The land has changed a bit, it’s drier now. I keep looking out for snakes 👀 🐍 – haven’t seen a live one yet!!

We’ve got an apartment for 2 nights as it was £28, the host threw in a bottle of wine aswell! We figured we’d stay here 2 nights and tomorrow we’ll throw the weight off the bikes and do an island tour, returning here before we take another ferry to a different island on Saturday.

It’s going to be quite up and down, but if it carries on like today we won’t mind at all 😍.

I can’t wait to get on the bike tomorrow. I’m in the zone again, looking forward to camping too!
