Freedom

For me, cycle touring is the ultimate form of freedom.

Hands down, it is the happiest time of my life. It is a time where I feel most

alive.

present.

healthy.

curious.

inspired.

Sometimes I ask myself why I don’t just do this forever.

I know the answer, it’s because all our family is in the UK and I miss them.

If I could live two full lives, I would spend one doing exactly this for as long as my body would allow it.

I’d spend the second life in the UK around family and friends.

The thing is, with something that ends comes appreciation.

So, if I could have it all, all the time, it would be meaningless. And that’s part of the beauty.

There’s something about a loaded bike that just gets me.
