Snowed In, China
I must admit, we are quite bored of the snow and ice now.
We keep thinking we’ve made it past the worst, but we’re just not there yet.
We’ve been hiding in a hotel for 4 nights due to the recent snowfall, today we decided we’d ride 60kms (40miles) to the next town.
We made it 12kms (8miles) before we hit a huge queue of trucks. The road was queued with trucks for as long as the eye could see.
We sat in traffic for a while thinking about our options, a sweet local man offered us a place in his home, but we worried about the legalities of that – plus we really don’t know how long it’ll be before the road clears.
Reluctantly we got back on our bikes and cycled to our hotel – we’ll be hiding here for 2 more nights.
It’ll soon get warmer and it can’t come quick enough 🤞🏼
