Kotor Fortress Travel Tips!
This is a bit of a ramble, but I wanted to get a few things across:
1️⃣ If you visit Kotor definitely, definitely walk to the Fortress!
2️⃣ The route we took was roughly 2 miles up and down and it took us roughly 2 hours, stopping lots to talk with people and taking snaps etc. There are longer routes if you want and you can walk beyond the Fortress. This I imagine would be BEAUTIFUL.
3️⃣ Don’t bother paying. Genuinely the free route is nicer! It’s a slope rather than steps and I prefer a slope anyway. I find it better on my knees. PLUS there are way less people on the free route!! Whoever put a booth to take money is laughing all the way to the bank. 🤣
4️⃣ Coordinates to walk for free are in my story and Montenegro highlights.
