JOGLE Day 17: Roche To Land’s End!

Roche to Land’s End

It’s hard to believe, but it’s our cycling JOGLE adventure done already! The time has absolutely flown.

  • 1022 miles travelled down the length of the UK, from John O’ Groats, Scotland to Cornwall, England.
  • 52,537 ft climbed. (Everest is 29,000 feet!!)
  • 88.5 hours on the bike in just over 2 weeks!

Today was a tough one to start with, Cornwall’s relentless hills didn’t settle for 30 miles, but once that was done it was plain sailing. We had our last 2 roadside picnics ? before reaching Land’s End where we were greeted by Stew’s dad who has kindly donated his time (and fuel!) to come all this way to get us! He might aswell do his own LEJOG in the car because he’s dropping us in Shrewsbury then tomorrow, he heads to Glasgow!

What an experience. If I had it my way I’d sit my backside onto that saddle and pedal my way back to John O’ Groats. Well maybe after a day or 2 off in the sun because I don’t think my legs could cope with the 23,000ft climbed in the last 5 days!

Tomorrow we’re back behind the desks at work. Luckily I work in a great place and I can’t wait to be with the squad again! Got some professional goals to smash! And when I get back I’ll get to meet our new employees! The Account Management Team has grown in my absence!

Also, there’s a half marathon and sprint triathlon just around the corner…
