Hola Espana
Country number 32, Spain.
We crossed the border to Spain just three days ago. Spain is the last new country of the trip. After this, we go to France which we cycled through in 2019 when all this began.
Arc De Triomphe, Paris is our official end point but we will be biking home to England. We did contemplate other modes of transport but at this point, cycling feels like the easiest solution.
Our Spanish cycling adventure takes us from Badajoz to Madrid, then to France, crossing near the coast and Bordeaux.
I keep seeing vineyards and thinking about Bordeaux 🍷😋
Needless to say, Portugal to Spain was an easy crossing with no border. I had forgotten just how easily you can ride out of one country and into another in Europe.
Cycling in Europe is just fab. Today, Stew said, “it feels less stressful in Europe somehow.”
I think this is because of the passing. In South America especially I was on edge most the day. Through Brazil we rode next to cars for miles and miles.
Between the quieter roads and wide passes from cars everything feels more relaxed. 🇪🇸
