Early Morning Riding In Turkey
For the last few weeks Stew and I have started setting the alarm nice and early. The average wake up call is 05:30am. Occasionally we wake at 04:00am, if we’re wanting to put some serious miles in
The early morning miles are my absolute favourite. I love the first 3 hours. The roads are quiet, the temperature is cool and watching the sun rise is one of life’s gifts
It’s completely free to watch sunrise and sunset from a beautiful place, but we don’t make enough time for it in our everyday life, do we?
On this trip I’ve seen, eaten, experienced so many great things – none of them particularly expensive and I keep saying “when I go home. I’ll do that”. Sadly I think it’s likely I’ll fall victim to the structure of my old routine
This picture was taken at about 10:00am, by this point we would’ve done 20-30 miles. This road soon turned busy, trucks whizzed by and the road dust was everywhere. I couldn’t wait to get into a shower that night. I think it was the dirtiest I’d felt the entire trip!
