Bukhara, Uzbekistan

From a visual standpoint Bukhara and Khiva look very similar. Bukhara is much bigger and more populated, but still manages some of the tranquility I wrote about in Khiva.⁣

Both are very beautiful places, we would return to Khiva – mostly to see the family we met there and see how things have changed. There was a lot of construction work going on in Khiva when we were there and I’d be curious to see what changes. I’d go back to Khiva too for the dance festival – that looked amazing! ⁣

I think Bukhara has a lot to offer and we would come back here again. I think we could easily spend another few nights in Bukhara and find new things to do and explore.⁣

Over the last couple of days we enjoyed walking around Bukhara. The most beautiful sight was probably the golden minaret at night, which lights up beautifully. ⁣

We leave for Samarkand today and I can’t wait to see see it.⁣
