Samarkand, It’s Quite Hot Here

Here are some of the pictures taken during our stay in Samarkand.⁣

It was so hot when we walked around Samarkand, as high as 40c. Even the locals commented on the high temperatures recently. ⁣

Temperatures went from a comfortable 30c to 40c with no warning. They’ve dropped now to 26c which is typical autumnal temperatures – and perfect for cycling.⁣

During our stay in Samarkand we stuck to the Registan area which had beautiful architecture, much like Khiva and Bukhara.⁣

With such hot weather it was actually quite difficult to even walk around Samarkand, we moved slowly and stopped a lot in the shade to cool down. ⁣

I won’t lie we spent quite a lot of time in our room under the air con and it was bliss!!⁣

In the late afternoon we went out on our bicycles to see more of Samarkand and benefited from the cool breeze.⁣
