Samarkand, It’s Quite Hot Here
Here are some of the pictures taken during our stay in Samarkand.
It was so hot when we walked around Samarkand, as high as 40c. Even the locals commented on the high temperatures recently.
Temperatures went from a comfortable 30c to 40c with no warning. They’ve dropped now to 26c which is typical autumnal temperatures – and perfect for cycling.
During our stay in Samarkand we stuck to the Registan area which had beautiful architecture, much like Khiva and Bukhara.
With such hot weather it was actually quite difficult to even walk around Samarkand, we moved slowly and stopped a lot in the shade to cool down.
I won’t lie we spent quite a lot of time in our room under the air con and it was bliss!!
In the late afternoon we went out on our bicycles to see more of Samarkand and benefited from the cool breeze.
