What A Difference A Few Weeks Can Make

This picture was taken a day after we got back to England. That’s me and Stew’s mum doing a puzzle for the second time. ⁣

We realised that this was the last puzzle I did before we left to cycle the world! What we also realised was that we left the UK on Mother’s Day 2019 and decided we had to return on Mother’s Day 2020. Isn’t that weird?!⁣

We spent the first few days relaxing at home and adjusting to the new time zone. Shortly after I managed to get a job interview at Sainsbury’s thanks to Stew’s mum, so I jumped straight into work. It actually feels pretty good to be earning money again. The alarm goes at 02:30am and I start work at 04:00. What I do is the online shopping, so I do the shopping ready to go out for delivery. I quite enjoy it and I’m grateful to get out of the house.

Stew has a bit of website development work that keeps him going and he has a secret project too!⁣

I’ve been using Upwork for a while and I really rate it – I’ve got 4 clients there. I started using it on the road and I’ve built it up slowly. Is anyone interested in a post about that?⁣

Lots of you have messaged asking how we’re settling back in and I’m happy to report we are both very well and happy! I think I’ve adapted a little easier than Stew. Of course we’re both missing the road and we can’t wait to get back out, but there’s no point lamenting what you can’t do.⁣

Right now we just focus on the day as it comes and we’ll just see what happens as this weird time unfolds.
