Visting The Vineyards
When in Mendoza, drink Malbec and visit a vineyard.
Back when we got married in New Zealand, my dad gave us a little cash as a gift. We booked into a wine tour in Blenheim (also famous for wine, Savingon Blanc).
Unfortunately, we had to cancel, so I set my hopes on a wine tour in Mendoza.
We had a lovely day.
This was actually just before Christmas so we bought sparkling wine for Christmas Day. 😋 We should’ve bought more though because we polished it off way too early and had nothing left 🥲
Included in the tour was a tour three vineyards and an olive grove. We left with wine, a huge jar of olives, some delicious olive oil and hummus.
The tour cost about $30 each and was a tour of small vineyards which was fine by us! I wondered if three tours would be too much, to be fair, I think the third one was one too many, but the first two has slightly unique elements.
The first one, the founder had a full cinema within the vineyard and it was his place to relax with friends, a good film, and of course, wine.
The second used traditional practices to make the wine.
