Shout Out To Dempster Sporting
Shout out to Dempster Sporting who took the first pic of us. We visited the store in Esperance and bought a few bits – new inner tubes and a light for the back of my bike.
We had a lovely chat with the guys in the store, and outside the store, a man who said he passed us on the road last night.
When Stew was waiting outside a supermarket, more people came up to him and said they think they’d seen us. This seems to happen a lot now! 😁 When there’s only one major road, then you will likely see those that pass you later.

After cycling 120 miles to get to Esperance we were ready for a day of zero! We went to the supermarket and stocked up on some good foods and drinks so we could literally just sit indoors for a full day (sometimes you gotta!).
We got 3-4 days worth of shopping on our bikes. We were seriously heavy. There’s not much room on our bikes to carry a lot outside of what’s already there, but if travelling in Asia has taught me anything, if you can strap it to your bike, you can ride with it. We strapped the food in all sorts of places including 2kg of veg on my front panniers and a box of groceries bundgeed on the back.
Bungee cords have got to be one of the most useful things we’ve got with us.
