Nullarbor Day 7
Nullarbor roadhouse to Nundroo
89.78 miles / 144 kms
Nullabor Roadhouse to Nundroo was largely uneventful, to be honest.
A decent ride, long straight, and flat roads.
It did have one thing though, the knowing that this day was the penultimate day!
We left quite late, the fatigue catching up and cycled toward the sun for the second to last time. We had plans to stay at a caravan park which was closed when we arrived. The sun was going down so we started looking for a camp spot, but as it started to rain, we turned to Google maps and found ourselves a terribly reviewed motel….
That’ll do, we thought!
We booked in, got our key and opened the door to the most awful room we’d ever seen. It was a MESS. Unmade bed, stuff everywhere and generally grim.
What had we done…
Just as I was about to give up on life, Stew realised this wasn’t our room at all! That belonged to someone else.
Thank goodness!
Our actual room was actually alright, undeserving of the awful reviews. I mean we don’t have super high standards but it was good enough for us. Hot shower, tea and even a couple weetabix for breakfast. We bunkered down for the night, watched tv with cheese and crackers and that was us.
Tomorrow is the last day and we are so ready for it.
