Jet Lagged But Back In Vietnam!
Until today, we’d never had jet lag, but we’ve definitely got it now.
Flying to Vietnam changed our time zone +7 hours and when we’ve travelled before we’ve changed time zones by an hour or 2 max.
It was 30+ hours of travelling here including a 9 hour wait in Dubai from midnight until 9am. We didn’t get much sleep at all.
As soon as we arrived to our hotel we slept for 12/16 hours and we meant to get up 4 hours before we did. I got up to turn the alarm off and fell back into a deep, deep sleep. It was obviously needed 😅

It’s wonderful being here again. You’d think Vietnam would be fresh in our memory, but retuning has made me realise how misty everything is.
We’re coming across foods and brands we loved and forgot about. We remembering how to say hello and thank you in Vietnamese, again.
The hustle and bustle of the scooters is exciting, but I can’t help but feel the fear when I think about cycling amongst it again! We went out for pho earlier today and had a super fancy breakfast and dinner in our hotel. For the first few nights we went 5* so we could properly relax and settle in to travelling, we’re treating it like a holiday.
It’s so incredibly hot, 30-34 degrees, and very humid. My hot pink polyester t-shirt was a mistake, I need something cooler 😅
Tonight we will stay up until midnight and hopefully sleep well and encourage our bodies to operate on Vietnam time ✌🏻
