A Quick Stop In Ho Chi Minh
Today we managed to get out to Ho Chi Minh. To be honest, we are full of cold, but I can’t be bothered to dwell on that in this post.
We headed to the train station to book our train out of Ho Chi Minh to Nha Trang. We leave tomorrow at 11am. It’s an 8 hour train! Guess what though, we managed to book the exact same AirBnB that we left almost three years ago. I am so blimmin’ happy about that. Some of you might remember the place with the sea view?
We also sorted our Vietnamese SIM card, £12 for 6G data.
Despite headaches, a cough and aching bodies we walked into Ho Chi Minh to catch a couple tourist attractions including their grand central post office, Tao Dan park and Tan Dinh Church. Just our luck the church was scaffolded 🤦🏽♀️
Last pic is of a Vietnamese desert, Banh Cam, that I saw a few street vendors selling. I couldn’t resist and it was *delicious*, just like a custard donut, but filled with mung bean paste and coconut. The wrap is deep fried rice flour with sesame seeds on top 😋
📷 1: Vietnamese mechanics who saw us struggling to cross the road amongst a sea of scooters. He beckoned “follow me” and stepped out into the road like it was nothing. It was all fine and easy. I went back to take a picture of our personal lollipop man and they gave us a wave 😄
