Heading To Slovenia

We’re hitting the road for a wet and rainy day today – and I’m not expecting it to let up! We’ve been lucky with dry days so far so we can’t grumble too much!

We should be in Slovenia tomorrow.

Cycling in Italy had been great and for the most part we’ve been very independent choosing to camp a lot of the way to keep on top of budgets.

As much as we enjoy a camp we haven’t really spoken to anyone. Even our Airbnb’s have been apartments or “arms-length” hosts, except for Genoa. We are happy with the experience, but it has confirmed what we already knew…

When you stay with someone else and have a dinner the evening is almost a guaranteed success and a lovely memory. We haven’t had *those* moments here. Every person you properly meet adds some value to a cycle your – the interactions with people are the absolute best thing about the trip – up there with stunning scenes!

We’ve missed meeting and talking with many people along the way and we really hope to meet new people soon! 😁
