Enjoying Coconut Milk In Laos
You know those stunning travel shots people take with their exotic fruits in far away places?
Here’s mine 🤣
It was nice to have a coconut in South Asia! There was more coconut milk than any coconut I’d eaten in England. Saying that I always make a right mess trying to get into a coconut and lose half of it 🙃.
The woman who served this took a machete to the top of the coconut and chopped away until the flesh was exposed. Then I could push a straw and take a drink. Once I’d drank the milk she chopped it in half and I ate half immediately and took half for the next day.
She was missing half her finger and I can only assume it was from getting into these coconuts!
