Chinese Towns And Cities Are Fabulous At Night

Well this town cheered me up so much this evening! ⁣

Chinese towns and cities are fabulous at night. They’re all so beautifully lit up…and can you spot any litter? No way and never! The streets are absolutely spotless everywhere. Spotless. ⁣

I’ve always scoffed at these outside “gyms”. I don’t know why really, because I’m English and it looks a bit weird to me?⁣

It took me all of 3 minutes to let my guard down and play on the equipment. ⁣

Barely any of it is resistant, but I was amazed at the flexibility and strength of some people. ⁣

In picture 4 you can see (I think) a husband and wife, he is helping her flexibility. ⁣

He was very flexible. At one point I was hanging from a bar, but I wasn’t using it properly so he showed me how it was done. He held onto a bar above his head and lifted his feet up to it in a V shape. I couldn’t get anywhere near it! He was nice, I wish I’d ask to video him on the bar. ⁣

We felt really welcome in this town, the ambience was fantastic. If I wasn’t so tired from our very difficult day today I would’ve definitely gone for a dance! I’ll definitely do it next time.⁣

We thought it was so wonderful to see people out dancing like this. What I do love about Chinese people is that they are shamelessly practical. No one is in “exercise” gear, it looked totally inclusive, it was very welcoming and we saw all shapes and sizes hanging on gym equipment.⁣
