Our cycling route through Slovenia

The map above shows the route we cycled through Croatia. We entered Croatia from it's northern boarder with Slovenia and exited along the coast in Montenegro.

Croatia is a beautiful country to ride through, it had lovely pristine landscapes and crystal clear seas. The road surface was very good here but the terrain can be very steep at times.

One of the most challenging aspects of cycling in Croatia was the weather, it rained quite a lot while we were there and we spent quite a bit of time in cafes trying to warm up. On the flip side when it wasn't raining it was pleasently warm and very enjoyable.

You will notice that we briefly entered Bosnia and Herzegovina for a short stay in Mostar. The route into Bosnia and Herzegovina was so short that it didn't warrent it's own page.

We enjoyed cycling in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the roads and conditions were very similar to Croatia.
