John O’ Groats to Lands End – The Route

John O’ Groats to Lands End – The Route

This time we decided roughly to follow the ‘Ride across Britain‘ route as we didn’t have a huge amount of time available to plan our own. We made some minor adjustment’s to the route in order to access our planned accommodation and to avoid some of the bigger towns and cities where possible.

Below I have included download links to our route along with some marker pins detailing where we stayed. Feel free to take a copy for yourself, I hope some of you will find them useful for mapping out your own adventure.

This is a kml file containing the full route in 1 single file.

Pin Files

A collection of pins separated into individual files. You can transfer the files straight onto your GPS unit and see the appropriate notes as you travel.

Route Sections

My GPS can only display a limited number of way points on a single track and the full route is far to long to be displayed so I cut the full route down into 7 smaller sections. After reaching the end of a section simply load up the next one on your GPS unit.

In April 2018, we met at work and bonded over our love of bikes and cycling! Within months we planned our first John O’Groats to Lands End together.

Luckily for us, Stewart is an experienced cyclist and has already completed a solo 2500 mile JOGLE. Zoe had been cycling for years, but only started taking cycling more seriously in 2017. Since we met cycling has been better and more adventurous than ever!

As of the 31st of March 2019 we are cycling 24,000 miles around the entire world.
