It’s hard to believe we’ve sat on the bike for 6 days in a row! We’re both feeling better than we thought we would. It feels like day 3! We’ve now climbed over 20,000 feet!

Today we said goodbye to the highlands, which genuinely felt a little sad we’ll be looking for an excuse to return because it really is beautiful there. Of all the days to be in Scotland we were truly, truly blessed. It’s been beautiful blue skies almost the entire time.

This day was a tough one – particularly for poor Stewart who had a bad night with restless sleep and he was quite sick too! We’re not sure why! Luckily our great host put us straight with a great breakfast and some peppermint tea! Stew was gutted as the breakfast this morning was exceptional – a choice of literally everything you can think of and he could only stomach so much.

On route, we stopped for a good lunch so Stew could eat a good, full meal – I had half a pint then climb about 1000ft – it was worth it though as it was brewed right there – I’m just not about missing opportunities like that!

For 50 Miles I could see Stew was slower than usual. He’s never behind me – especially on those hills but he crawled today! Considering the night before he did so well to soldier on! I wanted to take as much weight as I could but my bike just doesn’t have the space – so he soldiered on with 25kgs while I still had just about 5kg.

At about mile 50 stew seemed perkier and took the lead again taking us through Glasgow which was easier to navigate that he thought. I think he ate his way through the day…

We checked into a Hindu temple tonight! I didn’t realise when I booked – an interesting experience and a vegan breakfast tomorrow!

A really scenic route in places, we’re in very good spirits, but we’re kinda glad to see the back of that one!

In April 2018, we met at work and bonded over our love of bikes and cycling! Within months we planned our first John O’Groats to Lands End together.

Luckily for us, Stewart is an experienced cyclist and has already completed a solo 2500 mile JOGLE. Zoe had been cycling for years, but only started taking cycling more seriously in 2017. Since we met cycling has been better and more adventurous than ever!

As of the 31st of March 2019 we are cycling 24,000 miles around the entire world.
