Day 10 – Kendal Rest day

Day 10 – Kendal Rest day

0 Miles
0 Hours

Not a great deal to report on today – woke up about 8, had a lazy start. Biked a mile to the pool and had a very slow swim – I must’ve looked kinda weird in Kendal pool with my Ludlow Tri team, sponsored, multi sport swim kit with my hair in a terrible bun doing some breast stroke/front crawl hybrid…whatever it took not to get my hair wet…

We biked back to the BnB and just chilled with some TV and junk food, slept a bit, went to spoons for a big dinner then returned, packed up and now we’re chilling with chocolate and cycling documentaries.

We did wonder how the rest day would make us feel, would our bodies switch into a recovery mode and seize up? Doesn’t seem that way, feeling pretty fresh this evening, but let’s see what tomorrow will bring!

We're Zoe & Stewart and we've been cycling around the world since March 2019.

This blog was born in 2017 when Stew cycled a 2,500 mile, solo John O' Groats to Land's End (JOGLE) along the west coast of the UK.

At the time Stew was planning a world cycling tour for his 30th birthday, but his plans changed when he met me and invited me along on this trip of a lifetime. I took no hesitation in saying "YES I'd love to come". We quickly threw ourselves into a 1,022 mile bike tour of the UK to make sure I enjoyed it - needless to say - I love it!

We've since cycled over 20 countries together and I love to share our adventures on this blog.

You can also download our tried and tested routes, and soon we're bringing you gear reviews, guides, bike equipment lists, reviews and more.

I hope you enjoy the blog!
